Plates
Plates for pressure vessels, boilers and structural steelwork – in boiler steel, creep-resistant and low-temperature fine-grain steels, stainless steel, duplex and nickel-based alloys, to EN 10028, EN 10025 or ASME. We supply them with inspection certificate 3.1 or 3.2 to EN 10204, in the sizes and thicknesses specified in your enquiry.

Frequently asked questions about plates
Which plates are suitable for pressure vessels?
Pressure vessels and boilers use plates to EN 10028: part 2 for creep-resistant steels such as P265GH or 16Mo3, part 3 for normalised fine-grain steels such as P355NL2, part 7 for stainless steels. In ASME projects the equivalents are, for example, SA-516 Gr. 70 and SA-240.
What is the difference between P355NH and P355NL2?
Both are normalised fine-grain steels to EN 10028-3. P355NH has specified properties at elevated temperatures; P355NL2 guarantees the impact energy down to −50 °C and is used for vessels in cold environments or for liquefied gas.
Do you supply plates with a 3.2 certificate?
Yes. On request with inspection certificate 3.2 to EN 10204, confirmed by the purchaser’s authorised inspection representative or an inspection body such as TÜV, DNV, LR or ABS.
What do you need for a quotation?
Material and standard, dimensions and quantity, required tests and certificate, plus delivery date and place of delivery. With these details we quote price and delivery date.
Enquire about plates?
Material, standard, size and quantity are enough – on request with inspection certificate 3.1 or 3.2 to EN 10204.
